Dolce & Gabbana men's Autumn / Fall 2010

Velvet lapels. Dirty denim. Skinny ties and slicked back hair. Newsboy caps. Drop crotch, button fly pants. It's all classic (well, except for the last), and it's all amongst the menswear collection for Dolce & Gabbana Autumn / Fall 2010. It's also quite safe. Almost too safe. But look again and you'll see the evolution of the male silhouette. Yes, the slim cuts that defined the past decade for menswear abound, but then so too do far more relaxed cuts inspired by far earlier eras.

The newsboy cap made it to the Dolce & Gabbana catwalk, but it brought with it the cut of clothing true to the 1920s - 1930s era that popularised it.
